A new year, some new topics...

It has been a while and so I thought I would let you, the readers, send me topics you would like to see me address on my blog. I really hope to post more on here again....

Just to help you all understand where I have been of late. Really, I have been right here, just that my life has had some changes that haven't left me with much "extra" time.

My health has had a few things going on, the most life changing being diagnosed as pre-diabetic. This has brought on a whole new way of eating (low carb). It is taking a lot of time to learn how to cook this way, what can I eat, what I can't eat, trying new recipes, etc. On top of that, I have had some stomach problems with one of my medication and that kept down for about 2 weeks. Now that we have figured out what it was and reduced the medication, I am doing much, much better! Yeah!

So, please post in the comment section topics of interest to you. If you did this before and I didn't address it yet, please do so again.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

I HIGHLY recommend Dana Carpender's cookbooks. I low-carbed to lose weight over the summer, and her cookbooks were a HUGE help to me!

Thanks Razorbackmama! Actually, I just got one of her cookbooks from the Library ( as well as a stack of other low carb cookbooks) and hers is the ONLY one that I like so far. I have made her chocolate chip cookie recipe and it is really good! And, it didn't raise my blood sugars, so it's a keeper! Can't wait to try a bunch of the snack recipes for our New Years Eve party!

BALANCE! is there such a thing? balance in our own lives with God first, husband, children, etc. then balance with teaching the children of that God, etc. maybe there's an idea?

Hi Jeri,
Just a few ideas for you.

What was your life like when you had all littles and no big kids to help much?
What was homeschooling like for you at the beginning?
How do you handle postpartum and illness with so many little ones needing you physically?
